Anonymous usage counts

The game now counts a few things, like games started, pause menu opens and skins tried on, so we can tell whether people find the Halloween skins. No pages, no ids, no cookies: just event totals. Details in the privacy policy.

A pause menu, and a free Halloween try-on

Press Esc in the game for the new pause menu: all five Halloween skins, standing there with their guns out. Click one to wear it, or to try it on if it's still locked. Press Esc again to put the page back.

• Every game now starts in a Halloween skin you don't have yet, free for 45 seconds.
• The menu shows your XP and how far you are from the next skin.
• "Get all 5 for $2.99" is a button in the menu now, no shortcut to remember.

Halloween skins and XP

Five Halloween characters: Pumpkin head, Skeleton, Ghost, Witch and Vampire. You now earn XP for every page you wreck, and each skin unlocks as your XP climbs. Can't wait? Get all five now for $2.99.

• 1 XP for every 1% of a page you wreck, plus 50 XP when you wreck 75% of it.
• Your XP and next unlock sit under the wrecked meter.
• Press K to switch skins. Locked ones can be tried on for a few seconds. U opens the skins page.

Multiplayer

Wreck a page with friends. Make a room, send the link, and up to eight people fight it out on the same map while it falls apart around them. It runs in the browser, so your friends don't need the extension.

• Friend rooms for up to 8 players: first to 15 kills, or the most kills after 5 minutes.
• Three maps built for it: The Daily Blast, MegaMart and Thread Pit.
• Press P while playing on any page to jump into multiplayer.
• Skins: press K to switch between Stickman, Chrome bot, Scrap bot and Neon mech.
• Pictures carve apart into tiles where you hit them.
• Heavier destruction: things fall, pile up and burn, with slow motion on big hits.
